Patrick Watson

This journey begins with that Montreal-based band of travelers, composed of Patrick Watson (vocals, piano, harmonium), Robbie Kuster (drums), Mishka Stein (bass), and Simon Angell (guitar). After touring the wild hillsides of Canada, Patrick Watson embarks on a whole new journey in 2006 with the release of Close to Paradise. Receiving national and international acclaim as well as collaborating and sharing the stage with various renowned artists along the ride, they’re ready to gaze at the rest of the world
Barr Brothers

The brothers Andrew and Brad Barr accompanied by harpist Sarah Page and multi-instrumentalist Andres Vial concoct a daring blend of minimalist folk and blues lined with subtle strings.
Malajube

With the release of their debut record Le compte complet (2004), Malajube literally took over the indie rock scene, and have drawn a wide amount of praise with their second album Trompe-l’Oeil (2006), a masterpiece that found its way of springing out of the already artistically rich local music scene, with their unique and original sound. Labyrinthes (2009) confirmed that the band was one of the most prolific and talented bands from Montreal (Olivier Lalande, Nightlife Magazine, February 2009). In 2010 Malajube released an EP entitled Contrôle, which was nominated at the 2011
Independent Music Awards and worked on the soundtrack for The Trotsky before recording their fourth album La caverne.
The Besnard Lakes

"The Besnard Lakes make music to get lost in, a rapturous sound that invites comparison to the dense studio recordings of Phil Spector and the Beach Boys." - Greg Kot, Chicago Tribune "The dark heart of Canada has landed, burning within the psychedelic dirge-pop of this husband and wife-led Montreal Collective." - Uncut
